Blog - UK radio roadrip : Our jobs defined!

It's been a week of travelling up and down the width and breadth of the UK talking to local radio stations and it's been amazing. Amazingly positive and amazingly exhausting as talking about yourself constantly would be! Cathy, my manager, has been quite the snappy snap with the camera, and Clare, our radio plugger has been given the talk of driving us literally al day every day. Between them and my sometimes hilarious and sometimes (let's face it) downright childlike bursts of boredom on the long trips, we've become quite the little team.

Cathy's job has been to key in the destinations on the sat nav, sometimes open Claire's food (ie a sandwhich, plastic wrapped grapes or the bottled water.) Claire's job is to make sure she knows where Starbucks is and where a local M&S is (posh grocery store) on the highways. My job is the loading and unloading of luggage and the very specific preparation of Claire's English Breakfast Tea at Starbucks. Oh and to talk about myself and sometimes pick out an outfit and 'do' my hair and stuff.

I think Cathy and Claire have other jobs too - but on this trip that's pretty much it. Oh I guess Claire has to convince radio stations to play my music and Cathy has to, you know MANAGE MY CAREER. But apart from that - that's what we do.

P.S Lincoln is officially one of the friendliest cities in the world.
